Ava Ghods
Hi there! I’m currently specializing in Mental Health Studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Mental health is a topic I’m deeply passionate about because mental health matters just as much as one’s physical health, but it’s often overlooked. I want to encourage people to seek out ways in which they can maintain a healthy mind. In my spare time I like to paint, hike, travel, and learn all I can about astronomy.

I am in my final year of an honours bachelor of science degree specializing in Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough. I’m especially interested in mental health and wellness, specifically, strategies that people may incorporate to self-regulate. In addition, I believe it is vital to provide support and encouragement to adolescents who are beginning to develop these strategies. Apart from these interests, I love discussing the implications of new technology, playing board games and video games, looking at puppy photos, and travelling.

Hello! My name is Adrianna Bonomo and I am currently a third year student at UofT's St.George Campus. I am a psychology major, also pursuing a double minor in math and education. When I'm not on campus, I'm either working or hanging out with my friends. I am a tutor at Oxford Learning as well as a Customer Service Representative at the LCBO. I love working with the youth and hope that I can help inspire these children to go on and do amazing things!

Hello! I am doing my BSc in Neuroscience, Psychology and Studio at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). I am passionate about tying the arts with the science, and my academic interests lie in a field called "neuroaesthetics". Neuroaesthetics is a new field of research that explores the neurobiological foundations and evolutionary history of art, music, creativity, and (more generally) beauty. I believe that through engagement with the creative process, students can discover ways in which art-making can be a healing experience that helps improve and sustain their mental health and well-being. In my spare time, I watch anime, sketch portraits, volunteer, and audit classes on campus (free knowledge!)

I am in my final year of my undergraduate studies in University of Toronto Scarborough studying Mental Health and Human Biology. I’m incredibly passionate about mental wellness and mental health advocacy. Understanding that mental health means something different for everyone, I hope to continuously learn how illness and wellness work together in the lives of different people of diverse intersecting identities. Besides that, I also have deep passions for creating complex excel spreadsheets, long walks in the rain, and pizza + Doctor Who marathons on a night in.

Hey! I am a second year student who is doing a double major in cognitive science and linguistics at the University of Toronto (St. George). I am passionate about artificial intelligence. Most specifically, being fluent in three languages myself, I am very interested in how computers are learning human language and how it can break the barriers in cross-language communication. During my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, and binge-watching TV shows like Game of Thrones.

I'm passionate about spreading awareness on mental health issues and helping others find their own "mind space" somewhere in their daily lives. My goal is to help others understand themselves better and provide insight on different strategies or activities that are useful in regulating emotional health. In my free time, I like to explore the city, watch films, and browse an endless amount of Spotify playlists

Hey friends! I’m currently in my 4th year completing a double major in Neuroscience and Mental Health studies. A little bit about me is that I’m an avid baker (I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth!), I love watching noir films as well as psychological thrillers and I’m always up for an adventure. I’m super outgoing so if you see me around campus, feel free to approach me if you have any questions about mental health, stigma or just want to have a fun conversation.

Hi everyone! I am currently a first year life sciences student at the University of Toronto (St. George). Mental health is an issue I am incredibly passionate about. One of my missions is to help others reach mental wellbeing both physically and mentally. Together, we can end the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Additionally, I enjoy photography, fencing and travelling (especially when it comes to volunteering in different countries - I am always up for it!).
